Seminary Benefit Dinner 2018
Thanks to everyone who helped make the 15th Portland Seminary Benefit Dinner such a wonderfully beautiful and blessed expression of support for the men studying for priesthood at Mount Angel Seminary!
With nearly 1,300 people joining together to celebrate and support the seminary, it was the largest benefit dinner so far! It was a joy to share the stories of faith and commitment of so many seminarians and alumni.
Highlights of this year's dinner include:
- A joyful procession of both seminarians and priest-alumni of Mount Angel
- An on-stage panel discussion of three seminarians, sharing highlights of their personal journeys of faith and vocation
- An inspiring message from Abbot Jeremy Driscoll, chancellor of Mount Angel Seminary
- Music from the seminarian choir and vocal groups
The men we celebrate at the dinner represent dioceses and religious communities from across the western United States. Proceeds from the evening allow the monks of Mount Angel Abbey cover the cost and operating expenses of the seminary.
We couldn't do it without your help!
Thank you very much for your support!

As part of their experience at Mount Angel Seminary, the seminarians participate weekly in a variety of pastoral ministry programs. Through these experiences, they learn what it means to be One in the Heart of Christ with each person they encounter. We invite you to listen to Fr. Anthony Ahamefule, a recent alumnus of Mount Angel, share a meaningful parish experience in this video.
