Generosity and Gratitude

The monks of Mount Angel Abbey offer prayers of gratitude every day for you and all our generous benefactors.

We belong to you and you belong to us!

"To give thanks means to give expression to mutual belonging. Genuine thanksgiving comes from the heart where we are rooted in universal belonging."
Br. David Steindl-Rast, OSB

Visitors tell us they immediately sense our holy Hilltop is a place of peace. It is an exciting place, too.

We are busy forming seminarians for the priesthood, welcoming all guests and retreatants as Christ, providing our community with unmatched library resources, and even starting our own brewery! Your support helps us continue these ministries, as our way of offering the light of Christ to the world.

Mount Angel monks maintain a Benedictine monastic tradition that has been a vital part of the Catholic Church for more than 1,500 years. We have prayed the Liturgy of Hours together, in unbroken succession, since 1882. Come pray with us!
