Abbey Bookstore

One of Mount Angel Abbey’s Hidden Treasures!
The Abbey bookstore is open to the public at the hours listed below. At this time, we are not offering coffee or food service. Please note: We are following state and county guidelines for Marion County Covid restrictions, which require the wearing of face masks indoors. Please see more information here.
Can’t get in? Our online marketplace is always open!

The Abbey bookstore is located in the quaint and historic Abbey Press Building (1908), set between the Post Office (1914) and the cemetery chapel (1883), with its own parking spaces and well-marked entrance.

Bookstore

The bookstore is stocked with a wide variety of books and gifts, specializing in monasticism, theology, and Catholic spirituality. There is also a selection of fine art, icons, all occasion and blank cards, devotional objects and religious gift items, as well as resources for Gregorian chant and sacred classical music.

Coffeehouse

While we are not serving coffee or food at this time, visitors are welcome to take advantage of the wi-fi and warm ambiance of the small cafe section of the store. The bookstore is one of the coziest spots on the Hilltop where all are welcome to sit and rest awhile! We look forward to the time when we will again be able to offer coffee and snacks.

Directions

To get to the bookstore, follow Abbey Drive up the hill and past the Stations of the Cross. When the road first divides right and left, go right. At the second fork, go left, following the sign to the Development Office, past the cemetery, and you will see the distinctive Bookstore and Coffeehouse sign on the left. There is free parking in front of the store.
All sales at the bookstore support the monks of Mount Angel Abbey and their work in the seminary.

We are able to order any book available, and we are happy to ship to any location.
We appreciate your making the Abbey store your personal bookseller! Call or email with special orders.
