Abbey Bach Festival

July 24, 25, & 26, 2024

Mount Angel Abbey Bach Festival Alon GoldsteinA note from Artistic Director Alon Goldstein

We have a very exciting program planned for this summer that promises to continue with surprises. Johann Sebastian Bach, a relatively unknown 16th-century German composer, has influenced composers and musicians throughout Western music for more than 300 years. Join us on our inviting Willamette Valley hilltop for an evening with Bach concerts in the church, an epicurean picnic buffet, and feature concerts hinting at Bach’s influence. And, the Friday night surprise – a jazz concert – Bach to Gershwin!

Artistic Director Alon Goldstein is one of the most original and sensitive pianists of his generation, admired for his musical intelligence, dynamic personality, artistic vision and innovative programming. A student of Leon Fleisher, he brings his superb piano skills and artistic vision to the Abbey Bach Festival. Learn more about Mr. Goldstein.
