Group Retreats

Front of Abbey church

The Saint Benedict Guesthouse and Retreat Center at Mount Angel Abbey is a destination for many who seek respite from worldly pressures and who seek to reconnect with God on a deeper and more personal level. The Abbey and its Sacred Liturgy is a place in which to drink deeply from the well of spiritual renewal. Retreats, workshops and special events at the Abbey bring together people of different cultures and backgrounds from around the world.

Abbey Organized and Sponsored Retreats

The Abbey guesthouse and retreat center sponsors a number of spiritual retreats throughout the year. Abbey retreats provide opportunities for personal faith renewal, spiritual reflection, refreshment and fellowship. Be sure to visit the calendar for an up-to-date list of retreats. Retreat cost includes lodging and meals unless otherwise noted.

Private Group Hosted Retreats

Our guesthouse is an ideal venue for small faith-based groups to hold meetings, workshops, or overnight retreats. We offer a unique space for meetings and workshops, meals, and overnight accommodations for your organized group retreat. We have up to 39 rooms available for groups. Our dining capacity is 72.

Please contact the guesthouse office for further information, including pricing and date availability, as well as policies specific to private groups hosting retreats. Please call 503-845-3025 during office hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or via email at retreat@mtangel.edu. For groups new to the Saint Benedict Guesthouse and Retreat Center, we will email you a form to fill out so that we can better arrange your retreat.

Please note, due to construction and renovation of the guesthouse and retreat center, the facility will be closed from June through February 2019 while the new building is tied into the existing structure and necessary upgrades are complete.

The turnaround and elevator from the south side parking level to the Abbey mall and church level will be closed from June 11 through the end of construction. There are spaces reserved on the mall level on the north side of the Damian Center, #9 on this Walking Tour map, for vehicles with disabled parking permits.

Keep track of construction progress on the Guesthouse Renovation webcam.
