Times of Liturgical Prayer
The monks of Mount Angel Abbey gather in the Abbey church for prayer six times each day: for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours. Guests are always welcome and are encouraged to join with the monks in prayer. Books are provided in the vestibule of the church. See our monastic calendar below.
Special Schedule of the Hours (May 20-24)
The monastic community will hold their annual retreat with Prior Konrad Schaefer, OSB from May 20 to May 24. Please be guided with the schedule during this week:
6:20 am Bells for Vigils
7:30 am Bells for Lauds
8:55 am Bells for Mass
11:55 am Bells for Noon Prayer
5:15 pm Bells for Vespers
7:00 pm Bells for Compline
Mass on Friday is at 11:00am, no Noon Prayer available for public. Both Vespers and Compline follow the retreat schedule.
Conferences of the monks will be inside the Church at 10:30am and 2:30pm. May we ask our guests to please observe silence when visiting the Church during the sessions.

- Vigils: 5:20 a.m.
- Lauds: 6:30 a.m.
- The Holy Eucharist: 8:00 a.m.
- Midday Prayer: 12 noon
- Vespers: 5:15 p.m.
- Compline: 7:30 p.m.

- The Holy Eucharist: 9:00 a.m.
- Midday Prayer: 12 noon
